Gold Seal Refrigeration Engineer 2-A Overview:

The Gold Seal license is required for refrigeration systems that are flammable, highly toxic or toxic refrigeration plants. The license covers plants with over 300 tons of toxic refrigerant.

Experience:

A toxic red seal refrigeration license is required with one-year experience as chief engineer or two years working in a plant of a flammable, a highly toxic or toxic refrigeration system. Equipment must have over 300 tons. A Prerequisite to this program: Students must have completed The Training Center Blue Seal Refrigeration program 071 – 073 and Red Seal Refrigeration 081 -083

Endorsements:

The application will require management endorsement, along with two engineer endorsements. (personnel who have a blue, red, or gold seal licenses).

Application and Test:

Your application will require all your refrigeration information which can be found on refrigeration inspection certificates located in your plant, framed behind glass. Your test consists of a 50 question multiple-choice tests thepassing score is 70%.

The Course:

The course consists of four, 2-hour training sessions at one of our locations. The course covers: refrigeration systems; refrigeration theory; and operation. The program is held at only two locations. Kenilworth and Bordentown, New Jersey.
